iPhone v1.1.3 jailbreak guide
In order to jailbreak iPhone firmware v1.1.3 you will need to have a jailbreaked iPhone v1.1.1 or a jailbreaked iPhone v1.1.2.
This very simple jailbreak hack works via your WiFi or EDGE connection, so there’s no need to do much work for you.
#1 Make sure you have a jailbreaked iPhone (or iPod Touch) v1.1.1 or v1.1.2.
#2 Make sure you have installer.app installed on your iPhone. Make sure it’s updated to the latest version (update it if it’s not, basically).
#3 Make sure you have at least 500mb of free space left on your iPhone.
#4 Launch installer.app, add http://ijailbreak.com/repo.plist to your sources list, and after refreshing your sources list install “iJailBreakMobile”.
#5 Run iJailBreakMe by clicking on its icon in main iPhone menu. There will be some easy to answer questions in there, like your current firmware’s version.
#6 After the firmware upgrade starts do not touch your iPhone until it reboots. The process will take around 45 minutes to complete.
#7 If all is well, you now have a jailbreaked/unlocked (if it was before) iPhone. If not, you’re still at your previous firmware version.
There are also some similar iPhone v1.1.3 jailbreak packages that can be accessed from community sources via installer.app now. But beware which version you pick, if you proceed with it!
And also…
Important Note #1: If your iPhone runs out of battery during the 45 minutes of intensive software upgrades, you are risking to have to resort to a firmware restore.
Important Note #2: Some third party programs don’t work with v1.1.3 firmware.
Important Note #3: We don’t take any responsibility for anything happening to your iPhone as a result of this guide. This is a purely technical “no-responsibilities-taken” guide for people who are confident enough to know what they’re doing.
