So I recently purchased myself the Monster iSplitter 200 Mini Headphone Y-Adapter for the iPhone. But before I start the review, Apple, I’d love to know why you embedded your 3.5m headset hole into your iPhone? With that off my chest, let’s take a look at the iSplitter 200.

The company Monster Cable is a great company; they can be expensive for some items, and a bargain for others. I also really like the design of Monster Cable’s products: they are big and bulky, and feel indestructible. It’s like they are made for a man or woman climbing Everest.
The iSplitter is designed to fit into the iPhone with its gold plated 3.5 mini headphone jack. The iSplitter design does have two extensions coming out of it. These are two 3.5 inputs so you can listen to two separate headphones. Headphone prongs fit very snug with the iSplitter. It must be noted that there are few adapters that fit into the dreaded deep hole of the iPhone.

The iSplitter does have a very cool feature: there is a gray switch that goes from the middle to the left or right smoothly, to let the music switch from both people listening to one person or to neither. This is a simple device that I got so that I can listen to my Grado headphones and have my iPhone headphones handy for a call that could come in.
And here is the kicker: if you think that you can just use this with your iPhone, you’re wrong. There is but another use for it. Ahhh, yes a two for one deal. I use my iSplitter on my Macbook Pro headphone outlet. Why you ask? Well, because there are times when I want to listen to my surround sound speakers and there are times when i can flip that switch to the left or right and have my headphones waiting there to listen with no hassle at all.

Conclusion:
In the end it’s a good investment whether you are going to be picking this up for your iPhone or for your laptop or desktop.
