iPhone Installer.app review

September 7, 2007 by Richard

Author’s Introduction
I’ve been using “smartphones” for the last several years. After owning 3 different Treo models, and 3 different Windows Mobile models during that time I have to say the iPhone Installer application by Nullriver Software is by far the easiest way to get thrid party software on a phone that I have ever seen. MicroSoft’s ActiveSync or Palm’s HotSync don’t even come close to making it as easy as the Installer app.

Installation
Apple iPhone Installer.App is installed using iBrickr (PC) or App Tapp (Mac). I installed it using App Tapp. It took all of about 2 minutes and was smooth as any install I’ve ever had on a phone. Once you have Installer app installed it’s as easy as tapping away on your iPhone and you can start downloading applications to your phone.

Functions
The Installer app auto-populates a list of available apps and even categorizes them and highlights which ones are more popular. The apps can be uninstalled as easily as they were installed without any visibly remaining ill effect.

Conclusion
I highly recommend if you own an iPhone that you give the iPhone Installer application by Nullriver Software a try. You can get Installer.app right here on iPhone World. But, of course, you do so at your own risk.

    I could not agree more!
Not only is it extreemly easy to use, but when you are in the installer app it will check for updates, even updates for the installer itself.
Great review! Keep it up! I want more
