TransDock Classic for iPhone Review

So you may not drive a Porsche, BMW, or Mercedes, and that is just fine, but I am pretty sure in your car you have that AM/FM radio. With that you have the tunes you need you to drive and listen to your favorite tunes on your iPhone via the DLO TransDock Classic.
Features
DLO has many add on devices for your iPhone needs docks, cases, homedocks, and speaker units. Though I got my hands on the TransDock classic. This is basically and FM tuner that is more luxurious than just the plug in chord that most transmitters come with. The Transdock has a very sleek dock to put that sexy iPhone in. The Transdock Classic plugs into your car’s power outlet, and cradle’s the iPhone while charging, and wirelessly sending your tunes through your FM radio station with Intellitune, which automatically finds your station in the area that is best suited to broadcast your music.
Design
The TransDock is comes in black with a blue LED light which lights up the radio station and let’s you know the device is on. The Transdock comes with a charger arm, and extension arm, and a nice cushy fit pad, and the ability to also hook up your 2nd Gen Ipod nano and 3rd Generation ipod Nano insert.
Set Up/Ease of Use
For myself it was a little tricky setting up my Transdock. Since I drive a truck I needed the extension arm, which then puts a little more top end weight onto the device with the iPhone installed. Though the extensions goes in pretty much any direction you need. Once you hit the sweet spot where you can see your iPhone and control it from the drivers seat you just lock down the Transdock with a couple twists, and then turn on the device. The Transdock has a button which activates the IntelliTune which is actually really nice. It’s simple to use and it finds the clearest and strongest station to use with your FM radio in the area. This is nice if you travel during the day through different frequency areas, but for that their is four presets so you can switch stations when you lose that FM signal with ease. One last item to note, your iPhone does ask you if you want to turn the phone part off, and you can do this or keep your phone on, but you will get an annoying buzz through the station, because of the cellular and FM station colliding. I will say that I like how you can really get the music as loud as your stereo will go. Some devices that I have tried has some sort of limiter that won’t get the music as loud as it should be with your system.
Conclusion
I always like an accessory or a device to do more than one function, and granted some can’t but this accessory does. For your $79.99 purchase you get an FM tuner, an iPhone holder and a charger. If you add all that up you probably would go over $79.99 My verdict is to go head over to the www.DLO.com, and pick yourself up one install it hook your iPhone up roll down the windows and crank the music up like it’s 1999.
Available at DLO.com for $79.99
