Recently I have got a hold of Scosche’s reviveLITE iPhone charging dock. What attracted me towards this product is that it was not just a regular charging dock. This brilliant device had more tricks up in its sleeve. So let’s look at it in more details:
Design:
The device itself is very compact. It has foldable wall plug, which conveniently hides in the charger, foldable arm to fit your iPhone, an ambient light and a button to turn it on or off.

reviveLITE has a very iPhonesque feeling to it. You can literally sense that it is made from quality materials. Plastic feels very sturdy and once you fold out the charging arm or AC power plug, it clicks into its place, so you know it won’t just snap out from the socket.

Usage:
This device is very simple to use. Fold out AC Plug and connect it to the outlet. Then flip out “charging arm” with 30-pin connector, put in the foam for the appropriate device and voila, your iPhone will get its electricity fix for the day.

The foams I mentioned are designed to keep your device steady in the dock. I’ve used my iPhone without the foam and it felt steady enough, but it might be more suited for iPod devices. You can fit your iPhone even with a thinner type of case on it, which makes it even more convenient, but then you can’t use foams.
Now speaking of light source, it will only turn on when it’s completely dark in the room. If you feel that you do not need the light, you can conveniently use the button to toggle it off.

One thing to note is that this device will work on 100-240 volt input, so if you have a suitable adapter it will function in all the countries, unless you will find a country without electricity, which is doubtful in this day and age.

Conclusion:
Overall, Scosche reviveLITE is a great charger for both people who travel a lot, and for people who just want a charger. The device is made from quality materials so you know it will last for quite a while. The price might be a bit steep, but so is the price for the other chargers. Since it’s so portable you will not have to worry about forgetting cables anymore.
You can purchase the Scosche reviveLITE in white or black, from Scosche store. It will cost you $39.99.

Pros:
- Quality
- Design
- Portability
Cons:
- The price might be a bit too steep for people who are looking just for a charger.
- The light is a little bit too weak. You definitely will not have to worry where you left your iPhone, however, just make sure there isn’t a chair in between!

Score: 9/10
