Some of you may have seen this post about piracy of The Little Tank That Could. Well let me tell you, this game is definitely worth paying for. The Little Tank That Could is a physics based game in which you drive, roll and jump a tank through a huge level of ramps, hills and obstacles.
In Little Tank you control a tank by using the power bar at the bottom to go left or right at varying speeds. You might think you can just go at full speed to get past all the obstacles, but this tactic just won’t work. You need to think about each obstacle, as well as thinking what you might encounter further into the level. You also get a limited amount of bullets to shoot from the turret on top of the tank (you can collect more bullets with pick ups). You have complete control over the direction of the turret, so you can shoot blocks, planks and other obstacles throughout the level. Dragging around the tank moves the turret and double tapping the screen fires bullets. If you flip onto your back, you can use the movement in the turret to right yourself again.
The physics in the game are incredibly accurate and everything moves and falls exactly as you would expect. You may have noticed I keep saying ‘the level’ and that is because there is only one level at the moment. The developer is listening to user feedback through various forums and reviews, and will be adding more levels in future updates. You may think the graphics aren’t what you’d normally expect from an iPhone game, but the way Little Tank has been designed really fits the style of the game.
Although there is only one level (at the moment), this game will have you coming back again and again, because each time will always be different from the last time you played. A fantastic game, and a must have for any iPhone owner.

Update: v2.0 of The Little Tank That Could was recently approved by Apple, bringing two more levels and numerous new features.
