Pocket Arnold is another soundboard app, this time featuring the voice talents of the one and only Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The app is laid out in such a way to make it easy to find similar phrases, as they have similar icons. Sound bites for greetings are in one section, responses in another and you get the idea. There are classic lines from Terminator, Kindergarten Cop as well as many others. There are a total of 56 different sounds you can play spread out over four pages as well as a ’stop all sounds’ buttons, for when you press loads of different sounds at once (like most of us do with soundboard apps). Pressing Arnie’s face on the front page will play a random sound from the collection. The quality of the sounds vary greatly depending on which movie they have been grabbed from, with some having a fair bit of background noise, where as others seem to have none.

You can also, if you so wish, try to have a conversation using the soundboard, whilst using the phone. Simply navigate to the app whilst you are on a phone call on speakerphone and play whatever sounds you wish your recipient to hear. When I tried this (for review purposes not because it’s hilarious, of course), the sound quality is not perfect on the recipients phone, but it’s still fun to do.
This is not a necessary app by any stretch of the imagination, but if you want a bit of fun, then this is a pretty good example of a soundboard app.
