Have you ever wanted to learn drums but didn’t want to buy an expensive drum kit before you know how to play, or at the very least, read music? Well Drum Masterclass might just be the answer.

Drum Masterclass will teach you everything you need to know about playing drums, short of actually playing the drums in real life. Lessons are split into easy to learn sections and you can practice as much as you need to, before moving onto the next one. Each lesson gives an explanation about different note types before giving you an example piece of music to play through on the on screen drum. If you’re struggling with a certain piece of music, you can watch a demonstration of how you should be playing it.

As well as the note lessons, there is a ‘drills’ section so you can practice your reactions and see how well your progressing. There are also ‘crib sheets’ for easily seeing what a specific note is, just in case you get stuck. All lessons and crib sheets have an accompanying audio clip of what you are seeing on the screen, which is great if you would rather listen than read the lessons.
Although this is not a complete replacement for buying a real drum kit and having proper lessons, this is the next best thing. The $4.99 price tag is a lot cheaper than lessons too.
