Pirates. Aliens. Pirates and Aliens. Pirates vs Aliens. I can’t see the link between the two, but my god does it make a good basis for a game.
In Pirates vs Aliens you are a pirate controlling the cannon to destroy the aliens. You aim by sliding your finger around the bottom left of the screen, shoot with the right side and press your weapon to change it to another. You start of with a cannon for the first level, but at the end of the level you can shop at the ‘Booty Shoppe’ to buy ammo, new weapons (including machine guns, go figure) as well as increase the health of your ship.
There are three zones each with four levels. There are numerous amount of different aliens, some land-based and some that fly, and each one has a different health level. The control system for Pirates vs Aliens works perfectly and it has obviously been thought about extensively as some games have a control system that leaves your fingers in the way of the gameplay.
Despite Pirates and Aliens not being a normal genre for a game, Pirates vs Aliens is an incredible game that will keep you entertained for hours.
