I feel a little funny reviewing the Caze Argyle Love Metallic case for two reasons.
First, I’m a guy and these are some of the most feminine looking cases out there. And second, they are a limited edition collection, so they may not even be available anymore. So where does that leave us? On the first point, I can man-up on the feminine part and tough it out. As for the second, we can talk about the quality of the cases more generically than just this one design.
First off, these are very well-made cases that fit as good as any case I’ve tried. The plastic is not too thick, but still provides protection to the most vulnerable parts of the iPhone.
The top and bottom openings are left unprotected which bothers some people, but I don’t worry about that. My concern is the very easily scratched back which the Caze case completely covers. This review case has a nice, preppy argyle pattern overlaid on a metallic sheen. Its kinda classy looking… in a girly sort of way.
Caze provides two stickers: one for the iPhone glass front (which I never use) and one to cover the Apple logo on the back of the iPhone since there is a hole in the case so the logo will show (for all you brand aware people).
Use of the case does not hinder using the iPhone in any way. And the etched argyle pattern actually helps make the case easier to grip. That’s always good.
When you open the box these cases come in, its like you just opened a jewelry box. The case sits all comfy in a silk-like material much the same way a ring or necklace would be presented. Its a little strange, but it makes you appreciate how much thought went into it. It also makes me think that if they care that much how they present their case, then they probably care just as much in the making of that case. You feel pampered unboxing it.
Caze cases come in all kinds of colors and designs, so if this Argyle Love pattern isn’t available anymore or isn’t your style, check out their web site. you may see something else that grabs your attention.
