At the iPhone OS 4.0 launch event today, Apple said that it will be releasing the iBooks books reader for the iPhone along with iPhone OS 4.0. Currently iBooks is only available for the iPad, but it should be released for the iPhone and possibly Mac OSX when iPhone OS 4.0 is officially released.
