Apple Facing New Cisco Lawsuit in UK

According to a quarterly report filed today by Apple Inc., it is facing a new UK lawsuit on behalf of Cisco regarding the use of the iPhone trademark.
Cisco Technology, Inc. v. Apple Inc.
Plaintiff Cisco Technology, Inc. filed a claim in the High Court of Justice, Chancery Division, in London on January 12, 2007 alleging that the Company is infringing Cisco’s “iPhone” trademark. Cisco seeks an injunction, unspecified damages, and other relief. The Company’s response to the complaint is due on February 21, 2007.
It is unclear whether this lawsuit was put on hold together with the American lawsuit that Cisco initiated last month. Stay tuned for more details.
