More Competition for iPhone: Toshiba G900
February 11, 2007 by dennis
Toshiba announced a new mobile phone, the G900, which will be presented to public at the 3GSM World Congress next week in Barcelona. It is rather curious that the G900 sports a higher resolution than the iPhone and unlike the iPhone allows for video calls since it has two video cameras – one on the back and one in front. It even has a fingerprint scanner, although its usefulness is doubtful.
Here are the specs:
- Large 3 inch W-VGA Touchscreen (resolution of 800 x 480 pixels)
- On-board fingerprint scanner
- miniSD Slot
- Bluetooth 2,0 & Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g
- USB port
- 2 cameras: one for video calls and one for photos (2 megapixel)
- Retractable QWERTY keyboard
- 64MB of internal memory
- Windows Mobile 6.0 operating system
- Windows Media Player Mobile syncs music and media files with Windows Media Player on a PC.
You can see a photo of the device below.
