Apple iPhone To Cost Only $299-399 With Contract?
February 16, 2007 by dennis
According to a “leaked” Cingular ad that was supposedly shown at one of their consumer surveys, the Apple iPhone will cost much less than it was originally expected, with a two year contract. The ad shows figures of $299 for the 4GB version, and $399 for the 8GB version.
You should however take this with a grain of salt: AT&T/Cingular might just be testing the waters to see consumers’ reaction for different iPhone price points. Furthermore, given the history of “leaked documents” on the Internet (see Apple’s letter to FCC fiasco) this ad might just be a clever Photoshop manipulation. Stay tuned for more information.
