The head of a Russian mobile carrier Evroset’ voiced his opinion about the Apple iPhone and Apple’s overall distribution efforts in Russia. According to Mr Evgeniy Chichvarkin:
“We’re really waiting for the iPhone, and hope that Apple will reevaluate its distribution policy in Russia, which I can honestly say is badly organized. Although I personally won’t buy this mobile — most of its functions I simply don’t need”.
Evroset’ is one of Russia’s largest mobile carriers, employing over 40,000 people and having reached a revenue of US $2,6 Billion in 2005. As of now the iPhone release date for Russia hasn’t been announced yet.
