O2 European mobile carrier executive Rudolf Gröger, had this to say about the iPhone and Apple’s entry into the mobile phones market:
“A new music downloads plan could now be developed, that could for example allow up to 50 songs to be downloaded in a month with one fixed rate.”

This goes in line with Canadian Rogers Wireless — exclusive iPhone distributor in Canada — offer of downloadable music for a fixed monthly rate.
Like many other high profile telecommunications execs, Mr Gröger praised Apple on its entry into a new market:
“Apple is a desired brand that has an outstanding image. And Apple’s involvement in telecommunications market already had a deep effect on the industry,” said he.
However, he expects the market to change even more, once iPhone v2.0 with 3G capabilities will arrive.
