Meizu MiniOne iPhone Clone Out Of The Phone Game

It’s official - Apple has one less iPhone clone to worry about. At least outside of Asia.
Representatives of the Chinese company Meizu, manufacturer of the MiniOne, told Engadget at CEBiT 2007 that they’re still planning to release the Meizu MiniOne iPhone lookalike in Europe and North America, but it will arrive here only as a video/audio player, as they’re taking out the actual phone component.
The exact release date is not known, but the price is: the Meizu MiniOne “media player version” will retail for $195/305 for 4/8GB models respectively. It will still feature a 2 megapixel camera as well.
However, it seems the company is still planning to release the “phone version” of the MiniOne in Asia, so iPhone and MiniOne might still meet one day.
