Taking iPhone’s Touchscreen A Bit Further: Touchless Touchscreen
March 21, 2007 by dennis
iPhone’s multitouch touchscreen is all nice and dandy, but some folks did voice concerns about what will happen once the screen gets dirty. Well, it seems that TouchKo came up with a solution to this problem – their touchscreens rely on sensors that can pick up motion from up to 6 inches distance.
That means that you don’t even need to touch (and dirty) the screen – all you do is move your fingers above the screen, while the sensors pick up your movement and output results on screen. You can see a streaming video demonstration of this technology below. The future truly is now.
