Apple confirms American iPhone launch in June 2007, what about Canada?

In an e-mail sent to folks on Apple’s iPhone news list, Apple affirmed that the iPhone is coming this June.
“Talk to you soon. Thanks for signing up. You’ll be the first to hear the latest about iPhone — coming this June. That gives you just enough time to think of ways to break the news to your current phone,” a part of the e-mail read (thanks: CBC).

Even though this e-mail does not exactly confirm earlier reported June 11 2007 release date, it’s still a good bet the iPhone will be released on the first day of WorldWide Developers Conference.
Although, it’s questionable whether WWDC can give adequate coverage to both the iPhone and Leopard, which is probably due to be unveiled at the same time…
But the real issue that as a Canadian based publication we’re faced with here is iPhone’s release date in Canada. Canadian Apple PR representative was unable to provide us with a concrete release date, neither could Rogers Wireless.
“Rogers will be offering the iPhone exclusively in Canada but launch date and pricing for Canada are not yet available. Other Canadian wireless carriers will not launch the iPhone, Rogers will be the only Canadian wireless carrier to offer the iPhone,” reaffirmed to us in an e-mail a Rogers Wireless customer service representative.
