TapRight iPhone Stylus shipping today

August 28, 2007 by dennis

iGiki, a company that we know for their iPhone games, starts shipping the first ever stylus for the iPhone today. Called TapRight, it uses exclusive TouchField technology, while iGiki claims that the design of TapRight allows for making less mistakes while typing or tapping.

According to iGiki, their engineers found that when a centered specific region of an object taps the iPhone, a cleaner, more precise tap is produced. Using the MagicTip, pressure is given off in the upper center of the stylus, and there is minimal pressure on the sides and bottom center to stop those areas from triggering the touch screen. The MagicTip shifts the pressure upward. They claim that TouchField technology produces effective, accurate, and targeted taps, so users needn’t rely on the iPhone to correct mistakes any more.

There is no metal or plastic on the stylus, the stylus is constructed off a soft material that works well with the iPhone. Similarly, there is no point on the stylus, the MagicTip is used to control the iPhone screen for typing and tapping, which is also soft and provides precision.

For $19.99 you get the TapRight iPhone Stylus, a carrying pouch for it, getting started guide, and 10 free games from iGiki — and the shipping is free. For more details visit the product’s page.

How can I get a hold of TapRight iPhone Stylus? Thanks.

Ironically it looks like the company’s already stopped selling them, or that’s what it appears to be…I can’t find any indication of the stylus even existing beyond this news post :(
