After the official announcements on iPhone’s distribution in major European countries (Germany, France, UK) Apple’s fans from other European countries are getting ready to welcome it in their homelands.
T-mobile has already announced its readiness to market the iPhone not only in Germany but also in Croatia and Hungary. Would the next eastern European country to offer iPhone on its market be Poland?
As the Polish newspaper “Gazeta Prawna” reports, talks are being held between the major mobile operators on the Polish market and Apple. The main competitors seem to be represented by Orange and Era. Apart from the good image, the companies that will win the bid to market iPhone in Poland are to gain couple of hundred thousands new customers. The actual demand will naturally depend on the price which according to Reuters should amount to 399 Euro in European Union.
Meanwhile a research conducted in July this year between 2204 people aged 15-35 by Polish IIBR (Interactive Institute of Market Researches) shows that almost 60% of young Poles heard about iPhone. 4% of them are determined to buy one while another 17% are considering such purchase. That could mean a sales figure amounting 0,5 million. Most of the participants expressed their readiness to change the operator if that would be the condition for getting the American “God machine”.
