New Patent by Apple Points at iPhone/iPod Touch Gaming Platform
December 7, 2007 by Patrick
A recently uncovered patent issued by Apple has revealed an interesting bit of information on features, like multi-touch technology specifically for gaming support.
What the patent points out is that there’s two interfaces, say, one for tapping on your screen, and the other if you actually pressed down on it.
The patent (link) makes hints at a media player of sorts, which could indicate the iPhone or iPod touch, as well as makes reference to a music-based game.
I personally don’t think the iPhone could stand up to the DS or the PSP, but if Apple tried, maybe we’ll see the iPhone gamer come out of the wood work?
