iPhone, iPod increase Apple Mac market share

The hype surrounding Apple’s iPhone, as well as the increasingly high sales of iPhones and Apple’s iPod music players, are creating great brand awareness and perfect market conditions for Apple’s Mac line of personal computers.
According to BloggingStocks who are quoting a recent ChangeWave Research survey, 29% of potential computer buyers indicate that they would like to purchase a Mac laptop, with an additional 29% being interested in a Mac desktop.

In comparison, 28% of respondents were interested in a Dell laptop, with the number climbing to 31% for desktop computers.
Overall these are some very good news for a company that was struggling for survival less than 10 years ago — as well as its investors.
