Awang A8+ – the best iPhone clone so far?

According to iTech News Net Awang A8+ is the best iPhone clone born in China so far. Although it may not look more classy than Apple’s product it has all the features that make it a fully fledged PDA/mobile that aspires to be an important competitor on the market, Chinese market anyway.

Although, in our opinion, the recently leaked prototype shots of Meizu M8/Minione iPhone clone appear to look a bit cooler. And A8+ somehow sounds quite similar to M8…

But back to business: Awang A8+ has got the same 3.2-inch VGA touchscreen as the iPhone does. It is ready to operate on GSM 900/1800 networks. A HOME button makes it look similar to it’s “master copy”, but there are four more buttons placed around it. It also offers Bluetooth, an integrated media player and a microSD card slot. And unlike the iPhone, apart from the main camera it has got a secondary one as well.

I bought one of these Phones from China and I am loving it, the only problem I have with that is that the memory card looses it’s configuration if you turn the phone off, so, you have to connect it to a computer via usb to be configured again.

Hi I have a new A8+ but no instruction on how to use it, where can I obtain these. I am trying to access the web but am failing to do so. I have a Orange Pay as you go Sim card. Do you know what is stopping me.

I have the A8+ and my problem is, is that i can’t get any service at all. anyone know how i can fix that?

I am having the same problems with my new a8+ phone; I get absolutely no service. If yours works, are you located in the US? And if so what state (I’m not trying to be creepy I swear)? Also, what mobile service do you have? I live in MA and I use at&t but I spoke with someone who lives in PA and uses T-mobile and they’re having the same issues. I’m trying to figure out if my phone is just a dud or maybe only works in a certain part of the US…If anyone knows, it would realllly help.

I am also having the same problem as others I am not able to get any service on my phone also. If any one can helps us it will be greatly appreciated. I am in California and I use T-mobile as well. If anyone can fix the problem please let us know

I Live in usa and have at&t. when i try to choose the network with my A8+ it tells me the network is not available. how do I get my phone to work with at&t?

From what I understand the issue with AT+T is that thier network is 850mhz (from an ad on ebay for this phone). They recommended checking with your local AT+T office before purchasing.

Guys cant use this cool phone in the states.. its DUALBAND! only parts of asia and europe, i guess… and those who’s asking if they can download apps or update firmware… your stars are unlucky because the manufacturer from china recently announced in that you have to replace the mainboard to update the firmware that will allow you to download apps in it. sorry… just enjoy the rest of the features of the phone…

I have a fantastic a8+, my only problem is that I can’t access the internet or send/receive mms. due to the fact that none of the uk based networks have the settings for this phone….. Does anybody have any ideas on how to get these settings otherwise I an stuck with a good looking touch screen phone that is basically an ipod with a dodgy camera Please help

you cant, it is not quad band phone. does not support the gsm band that at&t runs on, I found this out the hard way bought an iphone clone from china and it did not work, i am on at&t and live in maryland. they have gsm maps s you can see coverage areas. your best bet is to get a quad band (world phone).
