New iPhone v1.1.3 Firmware Update
January 16, 2008 by Krzysztof
Recently at MacWorld 2008, Steve Jobs announced the latest iPhone firmware’s release: v1.1.3.
Although the updates are namely UI rebalances and quick tweaks, the ability to rent movies is among the best of features Apple has thus far introduced. The notable updates are listed below:

Apple has been quoted as saying, With Apple’s new iTunes Movie Rentals, movie fans can rent movies on their computer, easily and quickly transfer them to their iPhone, and watch them anywhere on iPhone’s gorgeous 3.5 inch screen. Users can also now navigate forward or backward through their movies by chapters, select alternate language tracks and view subtitles, if available.
As expected, the firmware upgrade resets the iPhone’s system software, AnySim unlocks, and removes third-party applications. Updating the iPhone requires activation via iTunes and through AT&T.
The official release of 1.1.3 firmware is expected to take place in the next week or so.
