Hey everyone,
I’m Ari and I’m happy to be the newest editor here at iPhone World!
I am currently studying Media, Information and Technoculture at the University of Western Ontario.
Today, the iPhone developer community has seen a breakthrough in the possibility of creating iPhone apps using the official iPhone SDK (system developer’s kit), without going through Apple and iTunes.

It is believed that the digital key that allows Apple-signed applications to run on the iPhone has been found and released to the public, thus allowing applications to run using this key and without Apple’s digital signature.
The key was originally seen on an Austin Heap webpage, located at
http://www.austinheap.com/assets/isdk/
The page simply states:
“18 84 58 A6 D1 50 34 DF E3 86 F2 3B 61 D4 37 74
that is all. more news later.
props @ the usual suspects…”
This information is still unconfirmed, but we will give you more information as it becomes available.
Thanks: TUAW
