Send Google Maps to your iPhone via iPhoneSender
February 5, 2008 by Patrick
If you use google maps on a daily basis, and yet you love your iPhone, you probably resent that you can’t easily get that map onto your iPhone instead.
From the Developer’s website, Design Is Fuel: “While we love the iPhone and its Google Maps application, we still found ourselves printing directions from Google when in a hurry. Why? Because there wasn’t a fast way to get that address and map to our iPhones. So, we made iPhoneSender,”
You can send links from a Windows or Mac OS X computer, using Safari or Firefox with the appropriate plugin. Instructions and links below.

From Safari on your computer: Drag the Safari bookmarklet to your bar. Then highlight an address on any web page, and click the bookmarklet in your bar. iPhoneSender prompts you for your email address, then sends you properly formatted Google map link.
From Firefox on your computer: Download the Firefox extension. Then highlight an address on any web page, right-click (or control+ click) and select “Send Map Link to iPhone”. iPhoneSender prompts you for your email address, then sends you properly formatted Google map link.
Afterwards you open the link from your iPhone email inbox, and the iPhoneSender link will automatically open Google Maps for you, to the specific location. If you missed the above links, iPhoneSender is available, free, at its website, but it’s recommended you follow the above instructions first.
