8GB iPhone price slashed by £100 in UK
April 15, 2008 by dennis
In good news for our UK readers, O2 and Carphone Warehouse are slashing the prices for 8GB iPhone model by a full 100 quids down to £169 (~$330 USD). At the same time the 16GB version still remains priced at £329 (~$645 USD).
This offer is available immediately and will last until June 1st 2008, and is available to subscribers that choose any iPhone tariff from O2.
This follows the recent iPhone price drop in Germany, although in that case the discount was even bigger, down to €99 (~$150 USD), but it is only available for customers that choose the 89 Euro monthly iPhone service plan.

It’s hard to say whether this decision was caused by a possible overstock of the 8GB model in O2’s and Carphone’s warehouses, or whether it is due to the upcoming 3G iPhone launch.
It’s also unclear whether customers in Ireland (who are also serviced by O2) are due to get the same discount.
