iPhone SDK enables .Mac push email and YouTube from Safari

May 9, 2008 by David

The latest build of the iPhone SDK reveals few interesting things we can expect in 2.0 firmware.

Firstly, there seem to be a better YouTube integration with Safari. You still won’t be able to watched vide on webpage, however when you will see an embedded YouTube video, you can just click on it and it will launch iPhones YouTube Player. No need to provide additional links. You can see it in action after the jump.

Another interesting addition is .Mac push email. Such service was available for a while now, but it only now appears on iPhone. Some developers report that service works quite well.
