3G iPhone release date: July 11 2008
June 9, 2008 by James
While there’s been a long discussion about 3G iPhone’s release date, with some folks naming June 18th or 19th as the most likely release date, it seems that Apple as usual kept its plans under very heavy wrap so none of the rumours were true.
According to Steve Jobs’ keynote speech at the WWDC 2008, the 3G iPhone is due to come out on July 11 2008.
“We’re going to start with 22 of the biggest [countries],” he said, and by the end of the year this number will increase to aforementioned 70 countries. that will be offering the 3G iPhone.

Unfortunately no more clarifications were given as to the actual names of these 22 countries, so we’ll have to update you on this as more information will become available. Will Canada be one of these countries? We certainly hope so.
