Apple today introduced iTunes 8, the latest incarnation of its media player/media organizer/music & apps store software.
One of the new features introduced in iTunes 8 is ability to browse by album covers (think iPhone coverflow). Now you will also be able to see a graphical tiles-based representation of all your media (including video and podcast files).
New feature called “Genius” allows you to automatically make playlists of music that should go together well, and will also bring up recommendations of similar music available from iTunes store.
HDTV quality TV shows are now also available for $2.99 a piece. And American TV network NBC is now back on iTunes, which means you’ll be able to buy new episodes of The Office again.

iTunes 8 will be available later on today from Apple’s website.
