iPod Nano, Touch get more iPhone-like features
September 9, 2008 by James
While no new iPhone models were introduced today at the “Let’s Rock” special event in San Francisco, Apple did present new models of their iPod Nano and iPod Touch media players. These new models offer some new features that were previously exclusive only to the iPhone.
iPod Touch now offers an integrated speaker and volume controls on the side. It also has a slightly more iPhone 3G-like curved shape. It will be available for $229/$299/$399 for 8/16/32GB versions respectively.
iPod Nano is also coming in a slightly curved shape and will additionally feature an accelerometer that was previously exclusive to the iPhone and the iPod Touch. Coverflow and a voice recorder are two other new features. The prices are $149/199 for 8/16GB versions respectively (it needs to be noted that now the iPod Nano will be available in 9 different colours, ranging from white to pink).
