Laminar Research, developers of the highly detailed and certified by FAA X-Plane flight simulation game, have announced that X-Plane 9 is now available for the iPhone through AppStore for $9.99.
iPhone (and iPod Touch) version of X-Plane 9 allows players to fly four different plane models around the X-Plane demo area (based on Innsbruck, Austria). According to Laminar Research, the flight physics of the iPhone are actually about 95% as good as the physics in X-Plane, and the scenery is pretty decent.

X-Plane for iPhone also makes use of iPhone’s advanced sensors — in order to fly the plane players have to tilt their iPhone.
