September 14, 2008 by james
Ever since the iPhone 3G was introduced in the UK, local sales have kept going strong, reports Phones Reviews.
Altough sales have dipped slightly from 50,000 units sold every week for the first two weeks after launch, the iPhone still attracts a respectable number of 27,000 buyers in the UK every week.
According to an industry insider, currently Apple’s iPhone amounts for 4-6% of all mobile handsets sales in United Kingdom.

Additionally, O2 and Carphone Warehouse, the two exclusive distributors of the iPhone in the UK, are expecting strong sales to continue as the Christmas rush holiday season is closing in.
