iPhone in Russia

One of the few big countries that does not have the iPhone in distribution legally as of yet, is Russia.
However, this is about to change, as three major Russian mobile carriers have announced that they’ll be bringing the iPhone 3G to this country shortly.
Beeline, MTS, and Megafone, are the three carriers that will reportedly bring the iPhone to Russia.
The prices will range from 23,000 to 27,00 Rubles ($910/$1,080 USD) for 8/16GB iPhone 3G models, respectively.
Preorders have already started, and several tenths of thousands of iPhone 3G have been already preordered.

As for the actual release date, one was not announced as of yet, but some insider soruces are claiming that it will be on October 3, 2008.
