beamME: free iPhone vCard app
October 28, 2008 by James
Just yesterday we wrote about ShareCard, an iPhone vCard app that costs 99 cents. Today we’ve got an even better bargain for you: beamME is also a vCard app for the iPhone that allows you to easily send your contacts information, but unlike ShareCard it is completely free.
beamME allows you to send your personal or business card from your iPhone to any other mobile device or computer, including BlackBerries, Android phones, Treos, Macs, PCs and more. The way it works is that you download beamME, sign up for free service at http://rmbrME.com, and then every time you want to send your vCard to someone new, you just text their mobile number or email address to 762763 (RMBRME).
Then your new contact can quickly add your information to their address book using your optimized vCard and you get complete tracking information on everyone you’ve met via the website.
This service and the app are completely free, although standard carrier charges do apply to SMS messages you send. At the moment this service works only in the USA.

You can download beamME from AppStore.
