Apple now offers iTunes music downloads over iPhone’s 3G network
January 6, 2009 by James
At Macworld 2009 Expo today, Apple has announced that the iTunes Music Store is now available to iPhone owners over their 3G wireless internet connection. So starting today iPhone owners can download tracks from iTunes wherever they are. And these tracks will be automatically synced with their iTunes computer program.
Additionally, iTunes Music Store will be lowering song prices to $0.69 per track, although apparently there will also be some tracks priced at a higher tier price of $1.29… Whether this is a good thing or a bad thing, it remains to be seen. Hopefully they won’t price all good music at $1.29.

Last but not least, iTunes tracks are finally DRM free! 8 million tracks are already DRM free, while another 2 million tracks (making it a total of 10 million) will be DRM free by April 1st 2009.
