Kaleido R7 digital photo frame is iPhone compatible
January 9, 2009 by James
If you’re looking for a sophisticated digital photo frame that supports the iPhone, PC or Mac and has an actual Content Management System to manage your files’ appearance, check out the newly introduced Kaleido R7 from IPEVO.
Kaleido R7 digital photo frame offers Wi-Fi enabled sync and streaming, and in addition to using a Mac or PC computer, consumers can also use their iPhone (or a Windows Mobile-compliant smartphone) to display images.

The 7-inch raised LCD screen is backlit and features a special hinge to allow the screen to rotate or tilt for optimal quality in landscape or portrait view. The front-facing touchpad control base and included remote control also combine with the user interface for easy information and menu navigation. iPhone owners will be able to use their phone as the remote control to the frame as well if they prefer.
Users can subscribe to content from photo-sharing Web sites like Flickr and Picasa, as well as news or blogs via RSS feeds. This is in addition to the traditional method of accessing content stored on computer hard disk or memory storage devices.
It’s not cheap though, as the IPEVO Kaleido R7 will retail for $199 and will be available in March 2009.
