The way that mobile business solutions can be integrated into a unified communications environment independent from the smartphone manufacturer and the operating system will be presented by German based company ANDTEK is due to present a way that mobile business solutions can be integrated into a unified communications environment — independent from the smartphone manufacturer.
The server-based solution, called AND Mobile, runs on the iPhone as well as on Android powered devices. With the browser (based on Webkit) integrated into the solution, the users have the option to employ their smartphone for business communication via secure https protocol and to communicate via the company network. Loss of data is impossible since data can only be recalled via the internet and is not stored on the mobile devices. Thus it is possible for mobile workers to have access to company databases.

On top of this web-based services offer the advantage that applications do not have to be installed on the mobile phone and thus it is possible to use a range of mobile phones from different manufacturers.
By the integration into the company network, the entire communication is done via a company number (Single Number Reach), no matter if one initiates the phone call with company desk phone or the mobile phone.
Since the communication is controlled via the internet, phone conferences can be done via smartphone independent from the location and with any number of participants.
The status of all company phones is displayed on the user’s smartphone and they can see which colleagues are available.
AND Mobile will be presented to the public at the “Cisco Networkers 2009″ event, taking place in Barcelona from January 26 till January 29 2009.
