Obama Trampoline iPhone app: no go in AppStore, says Apple
February 8, 2009 by James
A seemingly innocent iPhone app called Obama Trampoline was not accepted into the AppStore, according to its creators Swamiware, developers of about half a dozen (ASppStore accepted) iPhone apps.
This game, while capitalizing on Obama’s image, also features the likeness of about 10 other US politicians. The goal of the game is to have politicians jump a virtual trampoline — a rather tame, if a hinty game by North American standards (see a demo video).
At any rate, after accepting the Wobble iPhone app, Apple’s staff have decided that the Obama Trampoline game cannot be in the AppStore since it might include “obscene, pornographic, offensive or defamatory content or materials.” Go figure the logic of that.
