Tuitalk to bring free international phone calls to the iPhone?

Being able to call people internationally is crucial. But being able to call people internationally for free is just fantastic, wouldn’t you agree?
Tuitalk is a program for Windows powered computers that can be described as subsidized Skype. Like Skype, it allows you to make international (and domestic) phone calls to landlines and mobile phones in over 40 countries. Unlike Skype, it doesn’t cost you a penny, but rather relies on showing sponsored ads to allow for these free phone calls.

As such, you don’t need to have a credit card or anything like that, instead you’ll be subjected to watching an ad every time you make a phone call. You can grab Tuitalk here and test it for yourself. The only inconvenience is that currently you can only talk 10 minutes a day, but 300 minutes of international calls a month is still something you get for nothing.
Now, in a press release fresh from the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2009 expo, Tuitalk announces that it is launching a version of Tuitalk for Windows Mobile-powered smartphones. Note: while the press release states that it should be already available, it still cannot be found on the site.
But what is even more interesting, is that the press release mentions both WM smartphones and iPhones. So chances are it’s not a mistake, and an iPhone app version is in the works. At least we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed.
