30 day free trial of ProcessAway iPhone credit cards processing app now available
February 19, 2009 by James
In late January we wrote that ProcessAway, a credit card processing app for the iPhone that allows you to charge clients’ credit cards using your iPhone, is due to come out pretty soon.
Well, it seems that Apple is taking its sweet time accepting it into the AppStore, and the developer of this software is tired of waiting.
As such, they’ve announced on their website that a 30 day trial copy of ProcessAway is now available free of charge. Even better, the company will renew the trial period for as long as it takes Apple to include the software in the AppStore. And only once it’s available in the AppStore you will need to actually purchase it.

But if the app can’t be downloaded from the AppStore, how can it be downloaded? Well, the developers are using the Ad Hoc iPhone apps distribution method that requires you to submit your iPhone’s Unique Device ID to the developer so they could link your iPhone to your software license, after which you’ll receive a link where you could download the app. After completing the download, you simply copy the file into iTunes and transfer it onto your iPhone.
To find your iPhone’s UDID, just plug it into a computer and wait until iTunes recognizes it. Select the phone from the Devices list in iTunes and click the “Summary” tab. To see the UDID, click on the word “serial number” beside the picture of the iPhone. You should see the word “identifer” and an alphanumeric string – this is the UDID.
Now proceed to ProcessAway’s website and enter your name, e-mail address and UDID into the form located in the right sidebar of the site.
P.S. One does wonder why developers whose software was not accepted into the AppStore do not simply use this method instead of only whining about their app being shot down.
