February 26, 2009 by James
Combining GPS technology and an iPhone 3G golfers can seriously simplify their lives. AirVue Golf from Locaxion that was recently launched is a satellite rangefinder app that provides satellite images of the course and allows golfers to measure the distance between any points on the satellite image.
This app also features an automatic hole locator that senses your current hole and moves automatically to that hole as you play, and is able to measure the distance of your last shot.

Some 16,000 courses are present in the database to preview and visualize.
AirVue Golf is meant to work with the iPhone 3G, not the first generation model. The app is available for $39.99 from the AppStore.
