So the iPhone 3GS has been out in select countries in Europe for a few hours now (What’s new in the iPhone 3GS? Read here!).
According to iPhoneWorld.ca’s European readers that wrote in so far:
- “The increase in speed is quite significant — apps and games now load much faster, while downloads speeds also increased, although I had no chance to measure by how much,” writes Mark from the UK.
- “I love my new iPhone 3G S! Certainly this was a worthy upgrade,” writes Samantha.

At the same time, some folks from the UK are reporting on Apple’s official messageboards that there appear to be some rather common problems with hairline cracks with brand new iPhone 3GS units in this country.
“Picked up my iPhone 3G S this morning and I’ve already replaced it for a new one due to hairline cracks blow the SIM card tray and the power button. Unfortunately my replacement has smaller cracks below the headphone jack, but I guess I’m just going to have to live with it,” writes WildBomber.
European readers, how do you like your iPhone 3GS? Let us and everyone else know in comments or shoot us a line directly.
