Currently submitted for publication, the ‘little tank that could’ iPhone game shows what is possible when you have a properly tuned physics simulation running on the phone.
This short gameplay video highlights an effective use of physics in a game.
And here’s how its developer describes the game:
Not a single game in existence comes close to the accurate physics simulation of tank tracks. Each link in the tracks is faithfully simulated using Chipmunk’s physics engine.
Once you mastered the assault course from start through finish, your time will be recorded so you can make it to the online leader board.
