iPhone firmware v3.1 beta 2 now available to developers
July 17, 2009 by dennis
Apple has released a new version of the iPhone software development kit as well a new version v3.1 beta 2 of the iPhone firmware.
Apple writes: “iPhone SDK 3.1 beta 2 and iPhone OS 3.1 beta 2 are now available on the iPhone Dev Center. These versions are for development and testing only and should be installed on devices dedicated to iPhone OS 3.1 beta software development. Please read the iPhone OS beta Pre-Install Advisory and the iPhone SDK 3.1 beta 2 release notes before downloading and installing.”

As usual, this download is only available to registered developers. No major new features seem to have been introduced in this update, although ArsTechnica reports that it seems to have opened direct Wi-Fi connection to the device for developers.
