Out With the Old & In With the New: which phones are dumped in favour of the iPhone?

When you purchased your iPhone, the phone you had prior to will either become lost antique in your cupboard or maybe given to your son or daughter. Either way, in most cases, it won’t be used by you seeing as you now have a brand spanking new iPhone. Have you ever wondered what device most iPhone users would have owned previous to purchasing their new phone?

Well according to Nielsen’s Q2 2009 Mobile Insight Survey, 29% of consumers owned a Motorola prior to having their iPhone. Around 11% ditched Samsungs and 9% got rid of their Blackberry for one! Check out the full chart below for the full breakdown.
