iPhone Sword Fights in Real Time (a-la Wii)!
July 18, 2009 by Matt
iSamurai Bluetooth is an application for the iPhone which allows the user to have real time samurai duels with other iPhone users via bluetooth. You and your friends can battle it out in this Wii-style game from Toy Kite Software, as one of the first multiplayer games on the new 3.0 software, it is still a little buggy but the main framework for the game is down and just needs some tweaks here and there.

Using the iPhone’s accelerometer allows each iPhone user to effectively analyse 4 attack and 4 defensive movements. Each attack has a counterpart block move; if the user uses the correct move, it will block the attack. This causes a tense, competitive atmosphere for both gamers – transforming their iPhones into samurai swords…almost.
Along with its awesome multiplayer mode, there is a single player story with 12 levels of difficulty, 4 unique characters and the user must react to the moves that are shouted by your opponent. To learn the various moves there is a comprehensive tutorial level which gets you on your feet.
The application costs just $0.99 which is an absolute bargain but it’s for a limited time only so make sure you grab it at the special price!
