Cannabis, weed, pot, marijuana, ganja… find it with your iPhone!

Only one plant, so many names… Cannabis, weed, pot, marijuana and ganja are only some of them. Well, call it what you want, but now using your iPhone you will be able to find where to -legally- buy this normally banned drug.
The new Cannabis app that was released by AJNAG (pronounced as Ahj-Nag), an organization dedicated to “raising the cannabis consciousness by using the power of the World Wide Web and Digital Media,” allows users to find suppliers of medical marijuana in the 14 USA states that allow its use for medicinal purposes (it doesn’t look like Canada is covered in this app, although we had no chance to test it). Likewise it offers a listing of what they call “coffee shops” in the only country that allows legal sales of pot — the Netherlands.
As such stoners should not get their hopes up: the Cannabis app was approved by Apple due to its medicinal purpose, and as such it does not list any illegal distributors nor drug dealers. Still, the application boasts that it also lists doctors that could provide you with a medical marijuana prescription which could be better in the long run than having a drug dealer’s address.
You can purchase the app for $2.99 from the AppStore. A video demo is available on YouTube.
