iPhone Shortage hits Australia

Since the iPhone 3GS was released on June the 19th, suppliers have run out of stock and Apple has admitted they have not been able to produce enough units to meet demands. Some customers are expected to wait up to a month before they can get their hands on one.

Tim Cook from Apple said the response to the iPhone 3GS has been impressive and that more than one million units had been sold by the third day after its launch. America experienced the same kind of shortage when they released the first generation iPhone last year which continued for a few weeks but came right after demand started to slow down.
